Job Description:
Principal Accountabilities:
* Manage Trade Compliance and function as the first line of contact for any Trade Compliance concerns/issues.
* Interface with key government agencies such as Customs, MITI and other agency officials. Ensure complete compliance with import/export regulations, including overseeing preparation and submission of documentation, obtaining of requisite permits/licenses, maintenance of statutory records.
* Maintain suitable procedures to demonstrate control of import/export to meet corporate audits (GMP) and other relevant company standards.
* Advise various departments on import/export issues in Order Fulfilment process.
* Drive ease-of-business throughout core areas of responsibility with focus on being proactive.
Key Requirements:
* Male or Female below 40 years old
* Must possess Bachelor Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business Management or equivalent.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in import/export compliance matters.
* Knowledgeable in fundamental requirements of import/export transactions, particularly rules involving in shipping regulations and protocols.
* Ability to 'hit the ground running' for this position.
* Lead the Shipping teams in 2 manufacturing plants (Kulim, Kedah & Bentong, Pahang).
* Willing to be based in Kulim (Padang Meha), Kedah.
* Able to read and write document from China.
* Able to communicate in Mandarin
